So what happens once you arrive on the day of the session?
I always ask to try and bring baby tired and hungry. I know babies sometimes are on their own schedule, but this will set us up best for a smooth session.
Once you arrive, if baby is ready to eat, I like to have parents undress baby, change baby if needed and then feed baby right away. After baby is well fed, I will then take him/her and begin styling them. This is when mom can either change into an outfit from my client closet or freshen up.
I typically like to start with family photos first, especially if siblings are involved. The only reason I wouldn't do this is if baby was extremely sleepy and then we would start their individual pictures.
This routine has typically set me up best for a successful and smooth session.
