What does God want?

How has the Lord been speaking to you? Have you challenged yourself to spend more time in his word this week. Spending time in His word allows us to hear his beautifully, perfect voice more clearly.
What does God want?
Accept Him into your life - (Romans 6:22-23)
Obey His commandments - (1 John 2:2)
Live by faith - (Ephesians 2:8-9)
Romans 6:22-23
But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God,the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Christ already paid the price for your sin. Your sin has already been forgiven! What a gift! There is nothing you have done, are doing, or will do that Christ has not already paid the price for. Without accepting His free gift of eternal life, you are not allowing the cross to fulfill it's purpose for you. God wants you to live in freedom by accepting him into your life and acknowledging he died on the cross for the forgiveness of your sins.
1 John 2:2 Here’s how we can be sure that we know God in the right way: Keep his commandments.
Once we have accepted Christ into our life, we can no longer live in our old ways. We need to intentionally follow his commandments (Exodus 20:2-17). Freedom comes when we turn away form our old lives and renew our minds to be like Christ. God wants us to live in freedom by following his commandments.
Ephesians 2:8-9
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast.
Jesus chose to love us, just because. There is absolutely nothing we can do on our own to earn our salvation. It is a free gift. God wants you to live in freedom by choosing to have faith in Him. Faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see (Hebrews 11:1).
CHALLENGE
Are you doing what God wants? My challenge to you is to look at God's desires and reflect on your life. Is there anything you need to change? Is there something you are not ready to let go of? Let go and let God be in charge of your life. Who better to take charge, than the one who actually created you.
God wants us to accept Him into our lives.
